Hi! I’m Quinton, communications director for the Ohio Pork Council….probably better known as the voice of the Ohio Hog Farmers Facebook page. I’m way into Pigs, Cows, Cameras and Food!
I’ve been at the pork council since the spring of 2011, at which time I came to the realization that, regardless of my fairly extensive beef background, I should proactively work on developing a slightly obsessive taste for pork products. I quite enjoy bacon, pork loin and ribs.
I grew up raising and showing cattle with my family in central Ohio. While I’m all about pigs, pork and Ohio bacon farmers, good looking beef cows will always make my heart go pitter-patter.
In June, 2013, my best friend let me marry her; she may or may not still be cool with that decision. We’re still waiting on the results of that poll. Nonetheless, between the wife, my coworker, Jen, and giant crowds of women at Taste of Home Cook Schools I help at sometimes, some for fun but mostly because it’s kinda my job, I spend a lot of time trying to make the females in my life happy…I’m not the best at that, apparently.
When I’m not promoting pork, I’m typically found hanging out with cows, doing some sort of remodel project on our new-to-us house, harassing the cat or cooking some totally random meal I thought up in my head 15 minutes prior to beginning. I also have a pretty major addiction to purchasing camera accessories and claim to be a professional livestock photographer.
That’s all for now.
